TOMORROW IS A JEANS DAY… but only if
you pay.
Mrs. Gill is showing us the blog again. She’s reading Dylan’s scribe
notes. Asdfghjkl he is very… opinionated. Annie and Weston are pushing Tj into
the middle of the circle and I can’t focus on Mrs. Gill! I heard my name and
blow in the same sentence. She told everyone to knock it off and to power-up
our computers.
Tj got up and looked at Annie’s
computer and then sat back down in the middle desk. Mrs. Gill is still talking;
something about thesis and Lady Gaga. SOMEONE is texting ;)Austin is using his
book bag as a foot rest. I heard my name again. Weston and Tj are fighting over
a desk, I think. LUKE HAS THE BELL. Mrs. Gill told him to “sit down and grow
up.” When Luke laughs, it sound like he’s choking on a hair-ball. Mrs. Gill is
holding the bell. She keeps touching it. Now Mrs. Gill is reading Johnny’s
scribe notes. Tj, Annie, and Weston are talking. Mrs. Gill asked me a question
and I honestly have no idea what is going on. She is still reading Johnny’s
scribe notes. Johnny said that Abby Schmidt is good looking. Tj is talking.
Weston just… moaned? Mrs. Gill said “HEY” to get our attention, and then
continued with her reading. WESTON AND LUKE BOTH CHEW GUM WITH THEIR MOUTHS
OPEN. Mrs. Gill says something is “so Johnny.” I’m not sure about what. Ashley brought up that Austin is in ACT prep.
I’m not sure how we got onto this topic. Mrs. Gill says I should be Benda Star,
and that she has red hair. And a good figure. Mrs. Gill
asked Mark to go to the printer.

Mrs. Gill makes Tj move back into the
circle. Now Mrs. Gill is standing in the middle of the circle and talking about
what we’re doing today. We are starting our research papers. Mrs. Gill asks
Lisa if she knows what is going on. She then reviews over the goals of this
paper. “Today everyone should be busy doing research.” We’re going to talk
about the outline paper in the last five minutes of glass. Mrs. Gill goes over
the goals again, and asks if there is anyone who can’t do them. No one raises
their hand. Luke gets in trouble because he has no idea what is going on. Big
surprise there. “You have no idea what we’re talking about,” says Mrs. Gill.
“Guys, do work.” Hahaha Mrs. Gill’s words of wisdom.
Now she’s walking around. I guess this
means we’re supposed to start now? She’s talking to Tj about his thesis. Am I
still supposed to be writing this all down? Should I be researching like the
rest of the class? No one else looks confused. Just me J Annie yawns.
Austin yawns. Joe yawns. Someone’s texting J Mrs. Gill is
talking to Joe now. Tj is talking to Annie and Weston. Gill is talking to Weston.
“The thesis is the answer to a question
that you’re researching. You want to have a question in mind."
Mrs. Gill is on
her computer now.
Mrs. Gill says something about printing
out our articles. I ask her if I should be scribing or researching. She says I
should do a little bit of both. She says that the idea of this is to take notes
during class. After she says that, guess who has a comment? Yup. Dylan. Mrs.
Gill would like us to have three sources. She thinks my thesis is intriguing.
OMG hot flashhhhhhh.
I can’t focus on the research and do
scribe notes. I’m debating or not I should just eat my brownie and chill. But I
don’t feel like getting in trouble again. Mrs. Gill is talking to Annie about
the research. Ashley is asking a question to Mrs. Gill about authors or
something. I hear Austin say the word “dirty”, I think. Annie drops something
and it hits my foot and then leans into my shoulder trying to reach it. I’m
bored. We still have two more classes. ohhhmmmyyyygggoodddd. My last class of
the day is math L
Annie touches my brownie and I hit her hand away. No Annie, no. Ashley
whispers, “Austin take me to prom.”
Mrs. Gill speaks under her breath in an indistinct accent. Something stabbed Annie. Dylan makes a comment.
Ashley
tells Luke to shut up, and says that he “literally annoys her everyday.” Damn
straight.
