Samantha's period 6 scribe notes Tuesday 3-12

I didn’t even sit down yet, and Megan is already making excuses about work
People are complimenting Mrs. Gill’s hat...it’s red, white, and blue
Isabelle asks to borrow my binder
People are rushing to finish organizing their binders
We didn’t say prayer…weird
Mrs. Gill asks people to get ready to present in their groups. People are breaking up into their groups
Mrs. Gill explains that these questions will be on unit test
I tell Taylor I like her hat…it was camouflage.
I notice my desk is sticky…strange.
Dustin, Kathleen, and Taylor present first on irony.
Mrs. Gill tells Taylor to take her hand out of a Wal-mart bag, thinking that she is snacking on chips, but she is really icing her hand.
Someone is texting.
Everyone is working diligently.
And the same person is texting again.
Group 1 is finishing their presentation… good job guys.
Our turn to present. We present on nature vs. nurture.
Mrs. Gill explains again how Chambers was raised as Tom
My group finishes.
Next group is Jackie, Isabelle, and Megan, presenting on morality and character…good job
Mrs. Gill says freedom is very important to her
Mrs. Gill speaks of her children…as usual
Groups 4: The big issue Arika, Sam, Emma, they finish…that was quick
Some people are organizing their binders still
Mrs. Gill tells Taylor that she is going to rip through the final test because she spent 5 and a half hours listening to the Pudd'n'head Wilson audiobook.
We start a class discussion about the Italian twin’s role in the book and then that leads to Roxy selling herself for money
Johnny says that somebody is ringing the schools doorbell
Back to discussion
The phone rings
Binders are turned in. No homework tonight.
People leave, we’re free
